Focus on psychodynamics

Posted: February 13th, 2012

The Program in Psychodynamics will be led by Robert Waldinger MD (MGH Director of Psychotherapy Research and Training, pictured) and Richard Schwartz MD (McLean and BPSI).

This program is designed to give interested residents an opportunity to learn more about psychodynamics while developing mentorship and scholarly projects with our faculty and members of the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (BPSI). There will be monthly dinners at faculty homes and a required case conference for PGY-3 enrolled in the PiP. Fifteen of our 44 residents have enrolled for this inaugural year. The Residency Program expects to see many more programs in subspecialty areas of psychiatry created by faculty to provide residents a readily available way to use their elective time to explore and develop expertise.
